FAQ

What is Toheal?

Toheal is an anonymous, peer-driven emotional support platform that helps users express their thoughts and feelings, share real-life challenges, and receive or offer advice in a safe, moderated space.

Who owns Toheal?

Toheal is owned and operated by Seedlr Inc., a registered company based in Delaware, United States. The platform is developed and managed by a global team committed to providing safe, anonymous emotional support to users around the world.

What terms apply to my use of Toheal?

Use of the platform is subject to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Is Toheal a mental health clinic or therapy platform?

No. Toheal is not a mental health clinic or counseling service. All advice on the platform comes from other users and is not professional in nature.

Who can use Toheal?

Toheal is designed for users aged 17 and above. Anyone who meets this age requirement and agrees to the terms can use the app.

Do I need to create an account with my name or email?

No. Toheal does not collect personal information like names, emails, or phone numbers. Users are assigned an anonymous username linked to their device.

How is my identity protected?

You are assigned an anonymous username upon first use, which stays linked to your device. This ensures privacy and continuity without needing personal data.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

If you reinstall it on the same device, you will regain access to your anonymous account and previously submitted public content.

Can I change my anonymous username?

No. Usernames are system-assigned and cannot be changed to maintain anonymity and data integrity.

Why does my anonymous username stay the same when I reinstall?

Your username is linked to your device ID. As long as you use the same device, you’ll retain your identity—even after uninstalling.

What can I do on Toheal?

  • • Post public life problems or emotional struggles and receive private or public responses based on shared life experiences and perspectives from others who may have faced similar challenges
  • • Share emotional updates publicly via the Mood section — whether you’re feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, relieved, proud, or just need to express something small that happened in your day. It’s a space to talk about everyday feelings, minor victories, setbacks, or moments that matter to you emotionally, even if they’re not major problems
  • • Participate in topic-based discussions and read/share real stories.
  • • Engage in 1:1 or group in-app messaging — either through text or voice — to connect with others anonymously. In 1:1 sessions, you’re paired with a random listener for private emotional support. In group sessions, you join a small, moderated space to share, listen, and reflect with others facing similar emotional challenges. Both formats are designed to encourage safe, meaningful conversations and mutual understanding

What is the Problem Section (Main Feed)?

The Problem Section is the main feed where users post their personal challenges, emotional struggles, or things they’re going through right now.

You can choose to receive:

  • • Public advice (anyone can reply)
  • • Sor Private advice (replies are shown only to you).

This is the heart of Toheal—where users open up anonymously and get support from the community.

What type of content should I post in the Problem Section?

You should post a specific, real, and emotionally detailed problem that you’re currently going through. This section is meant for serious or personal situations—not vague thoughts or general complaints. The more clearly you describe what’s happening and how it makes you feel, the more likely others can understand you and give meaningful advice.

Here’s how to structure a good post:

  • • Describe the situation: What exactly happened? Who was involved?
  • • SExplain how it affected you emotionally: Are you feeling anxious, heartbroken, stuck, angry?
  • • Include relevant background: Has this happened before? Is this part of a bigger issue?
  • • Be honest and raw: Don’t hold back. Say what you’re afraid to say out loud.

What type of content can I post in the Mood Section?

You can post short emotional expressions, small wins, setbacks, or even just one-word moods.

Some examples:

  • • “Overwhelmed, but surviving.”
  • • “Hopeful for the first time in weeks.”
  • • “Just cried in the shower.”

It’s a space for reflection, not for deep stories or advice-seeking—use the Problem Section for that.

What is a Topic on Toheal?

A Topic is a shared space where users come together around a specific emotional theme—usually a deep or personal question initiated by another user.

Examples include:

  • • “How did you handle high school pressure?”
  • • “What’s your story with an emotionally distant parent?”

Within each Topic, you can post your real-life stories, experiences, or struggles that relate to that theme. It’s a way to connect through shared experiences and show others they’re not alone.

Can I participate without posting anything?

Yes. You can read, react to content, and support others anonymously without posting yourself.

Is there a limit to how many posts or replies I can make?

There is no fixed limit, but abusive behavior or spam may result in temporary posting restrictions.

What are Group Sessions on Toheal?

Group Sessions are safe, real-time support spaces (via text or voice) where up to five users come together to share emotional challenges, listen to others, and feel less alone through open, human conversation. These sessions are moderated and monitored by the Toheal team, supported by AI systems to ensure safety and respect.
The moderator is invisible during the session — but always present. They can step in at any moment to issue a warning or remove a user who violates platform guidelines.

What’s the Purpose of Group Sessions?

These sessions are for healing through shared emotional experiences. Toheal’s mission is to offer a space where people can safely talk about what’s heavy on their hearts — and hear from others who’ve been through the same.

Join if you:

  • • Want to express pain, anxiety, stress, or emotional burdens.
  • • Are seeking relatable stories or life experiences.
  • • Need to feel supported by others who “get it”.
  • • Are open to giving or receiving emotional support.

What Are Group Sessions Not For?

Group sessions are not social chatrooms, dating spaces, or places for jokes or entertainment. They are meant for emotional support only. Violations like trolling, flirting, off-topic talk, or disrespect will lead to immediate removal without refund — and may result in account suspension. Learn more in our Community Guidelines.

Can Any User Remove Another User From a Running Session?

Not directly — but yes, you can report another user if they are violating rules, being disrespectful, or disturbing the session. You can also rate users after each session to help Toheal maintain a healthy community. If all other members in the session report the same person, that user will be automatically removed from the session immediately.

Can I post quotes or jokes if they make me feel better?

No. Toheal is not designed for entertainment. While uplifting content is important, we encourage deep, honest emotional expression. Quotes, jokes, and lyrics distract from the platform’s purpose of meaningful emotional support.

Am I allowed to ask others to share their stories with me privately?

No. Toheal is a public, anonymous support platform. You should focus on sharing your own experiences and, if you want to help, respond to others’ posts publicly. Asking for private stories creates pressure and breaks the platform’s safe-sharing environment.

Can I use strong language or express anger in my post?

You can express emotions like sadness, frustration, or anger—but you must do so respectfully. Offensive, vulgar, or abusive language is not allowed. Communication must remain constructive and mindful of others.

Can I post about sensitive or adult topics?

Yes, but such topics (e.g., trauma, abuse, addiction, or intimacy) must be described gently, without graphic or explicit language. You must also enable the “Adult Content” toggle when posting about these experiences, so others can choose whether to view them.

Is self-harm content allowed?

No. Posts that promote, glorify, or describe self-harm or violence are not allowed. You can share how you feel or describe emotional pain, but never in a way that could be harmful or unsafe to yourself or others.

Can I discuss political, religious, or sports topics?

No. These topics are not permitted on Toheal. They often lead to arguments and shift the focus away from emotional healing. Toheal exists to support emotional well-being, not ideological debate.

Can I talk about money or ask for financial help?

No. Discussions about money—including jobs, freelancing, donations, or loans—are not allowed. This is to prevent scams, exploitation, and unwanted solicitation on the platform.

Can I use Toheal to make friends or find a partner?

No. Toheal is not a platform for dating, friendships, or meetups. Do not request to connect outside the app. The platform is meant for peer emotional support only, not personal relationships.

Can I share my personal information?

No. Sharing or requesting names, emails, phone numbers, locations, or social media accounts is strictly prohibited. Toheal is an anonymous platform, and protecting your privacy is a core value.

Can I promote my product or service?

No. Advertising or promotion of any kind is not allowed. This includes links, services, businesses, or any commercial content. Toheal is focused entirely on emotional support and well-being.

Why are these guidelines important?

These rules are in place to protect the emotional safety of every user. They help create a respectful, supportive, and distraction-free space where people feel safe enough to share openly. Following the guidelines also helps you avoid warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent account deactivation.

What happens if I violate the community guidelines?

If you violate the rules:

  • • First violation: Your account will be suspended for 3 days.
  • • Repeated violations: Your account may be permanently banned.
  • • Severe violations: In cases such as hate speech, threats, explicit abuse, or scams, we may immediately block your account permanently, even on the first offense.

Our moderation system—powered by AI and reviewed by our team—ensures fairness, but we maintain zero tolerance for harmful behavior.

Is messaging secure?

Yes. In-app messaging (both text and voice) is encrypted during transmission. Content is stored securely for continuity and safety purposes

Is the platform moderated?

Yes. Toheal uses a hybrid moderation system powered by advanced AI models trained to detect harmful behavior, inappropriate content, and emotional risk signals in real time. This AI layer continuously monitors public and private interactions across the platform. In parallel, a team of multilingual human moderators provides an added layer of oversight to handle nuanced situations, ensure cultural sensitivity, and intervene when needed to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users.

Is content used for ads or sold to third parties?

No. Content is never used for third-party advertising or profiling. It may be analyzed internally to improve content relevance and personalize features within the app.

What happens if I lose connection during a group session?

If your device disconnects or you leave the session, we cannot guarantee re-entry. Missed sessions due to connection loss are non-refundable.

I can’t post or message—what should I do?

This may happen if you’ve violated platform rules or were reported by others. You can wait for the restriction to lift or contact support if you believe this was an error.

What features are paid?

  • • Private advice option when submitting a problem post.
  • • Participation in group support sessions (text or voice).

What payment methods are supported?

Payments can be made via:

  • • In-app purchases (Apple/Google)
  • • Web-based local payment methods (where supported)

Is my payment information stored?

No. All payment data is processed by third-party providers (e.g., app stores, payment gateways). Toheal does not store credit card or billing information.

Can I get a refund?

  • • Private advice posts: Refunded as in-app wallet credit if the post is removed, moved, or made public due to guidelines. Refunds are not sent to your original payment method.
  • • Group sessions: Non-refundable if the user misbehaves, leaves voluntarily, is kicked out, or if more than three participants leave early and the session ends.

What data does Toheal collect?

  • • Anonymous technical data (device, OS, app usage)
  • • Behavioral signals to personalize the experience
  • • BModeration data to maintain platform safety

Does Toheal use profiling?

Toheal uses user-generated content and behavioral patterns to personalize the user experience, improve feed relevance, and support in-app promotions. This profiling is internal and not shared externally.

Is my data shared with third parties?

Only as necessary for core services, such as payment processing, analytics, or app store compliance. No personal data is shared.

How long is data kept?

  • • Private messages, mood posts, and problem posts are permanently deleted after account deletion (following a 30-day deactivation window).
  • • Public advice and public topics remain visible under the anonymous username.

How can I delete my account?

Through the app settings. Once requested:

  • • Your account enters a 30-day deactivation period.
  • • If not reactivated during that period, your data will be permanently deleted.

What data remains after deletion?

Only public advice and public topics remain tied to your anonymous username. All other content is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Can I download or transfer my data?

Yes, you can download your personal data from the app settings at any time. The data is provided in JSON format for ease of access and clarity. While transferring your data to other platforms is not currently supported—since Toheal operates independently and has no direct integrations—we remain fully committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with global data regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
