Nothing is worse than flashbacks hunting you. I feel like I regret what I did, but I miss the feeling the conversations. Flashbacks of the first conversation, and how awkward it was. Just feeling pure regret and Nostalgia no advice is needed, just pouring my heart out.......

Why can't I be devoted? Why are they so heartless with me?

One random day, all the emotions I have been trying to keep up with suddenly hit me. The pain I have been holding onto for so long fills me with a guilt I try desperately not to think about. Lately, everything has felt pointless. Days pass like minutes, and you have no one to talk to about what you’re going through. Though I seem fine, there are things I cannot explain—like my emotional instability, my insecurities, and the temptation of being alone while still wanting the warmth of being loved and pacified. Why can’t I be devoted to these feelings? Why do people around me act so recklessly, as if I am a bare-minimum creature? Why are they always so heartless with me? What did I do to deserve this wrath? Haven’t I been trying to be just myself? I only want someone to feel the shallowness trying to breach me from within and understand the light I am hoping for. What’s wrong with wanting to claim someone as mine? Don’t people want that? The way you want to make sure you are never the reason someone feels shattered or broken, yet you wish to be their comfort, their shield. You want to be the kindest person in their life—the one who soothes them when they are agonized by pain. You want to be the reason they laugh when they are sad and depressed. You wish to enlighten them and keep their innocence alive, even when they feel they are not enough. you wish to safeguard their raw emotions and want to overcome the burden on their shoulder, you just want to coax them. You want to inspire them in ways they can’t imagine, to be the joy and affection in their life, to be the one they can rely on. To be the sole symphony of their soul. You want to protect them from a toxic world—from people who think they are omniscient, who believe they have the right to break others just because they think they are perfect. Sometimes I wonder why they don’t reflect on themselves instead of peeking and being nosy in others’ lives. If you are human and you have been hurt, you should understand another’s situation.
