Feeling Fed up
So here's my current reality: I have ADHD, more work than humanly possible to do in the time I have, and I'm chronically distracted. Basically, I'm a mess right now. My coping mechanism? Freeze until someone external forces me to move. Literally. A deadline approaching, someone calling to follow up, or a task becoming absolutely non-negotiable—that's what gets me moving. It's not healthy, it's not sustainable, and I'm pretty burned out about it. I've read enough about ADHD to know what's happening in my brain, but that knowledge hasn't exactly translated to better functioning. So here I am, looking for others who get it. The folks who understand that having ADHD knowledge and actually managing ADHD are completely different battles. If you're in the same boat, or if you've found something that genuinely helps with the freeze response (especially under pressure), I'd love to hear about it. Share your real strategies, your failures, your wins—anything that's actually useful
