Personally, I believe in giving a chance and trying. However, if the other person remains unresponsive and I'm the only one trying, it's best to end the relationship. Friendships should involve both parties making efforts to maintain them. If the other person doesn't care, simply end the relationship, as it will only cause you emotional harm
